Express Entry is a Canadian immigration system that manages the applications for three of Canada’s federal economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.

The highest-ranking candidates are invited to apply for permanent residency through regular Express Entry draws, which occur approximately every two weeks. Candidates who receive an invitation to apply (ITA) have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency.
Express Entry is a competitive and merit-based system that aims to attract the most skilled and qualified immigrants to Canada. It is designed to be efficient and fast, with most applications processed within six months.
To be eligible for Express Entry, individuals must first meet the eligibility requirements for one of the three federal economic immigration programs. They must also create an online profile and enter the Express Entry pool, where they will be assigned a CRS score and ranked against other eligible candidates. Candidates can improve their CRS score by taking steps such as improving their language proficiency, gaining more work experience, or obtaining a job offer from a Canadian employer.
